In various places on the CTI Networks and Ga.net sites, we collect "Personally Identifiable Information," such as your name, postal address, telephone number, Email address, credit card information, or other information that can be used to contact you or identify you as an individual. For example, we collect this information when you make online payments or use our qualification for services tools. From time to time in the future we may offer additional features, services, and promotional opportunities that would require you to submit Personally Identifiable Information to participate.
We also collect "Anonymous Information" such as your IP address, the type of browser you use and the pages on our site that you have visited; Your Personally Identifiable Information is linked to your Anonymous Information.
The websites are not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen years of age. We do not solicit or knowingly collect information from children under 13 years old.
We use Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to communicate with you, to process orders or payments for our services, to customize advertising and content available on the CTI Networks and Ga.net sites, to conduct research for internal purposes and to use such information to improve our services and the CTI Networks and Ga.net sites. We use information that is not personally identifiable to determine how people use our website and its services. For example this data tells us information including which files are downloaded most frequently, and which areas of our site are the most popular. Analyzing this data allows us to improve the offerings on and performance of our site(s). Using your IP address, we can also determine the general physical location of a user and may at times use this information to more efficiently serve you.
You may review the Personally Identifiable Information we have on file by logging into www.ga.net/bmui/. Once there, you may modify information that is incorrect and delete certain information from your profile. Data related to transactions for products and services through CTI Networks and Ga.net is retained indefinitely. Moreover, since, Anonymous Information is not identifiable as originating with you; it cannot be reviewed or changed by you.
During sessions in which you give us information such as credit card numbers, we encrypt your transmissions using SSL ("Secure Sockets Layer") technology. We keep the Personally Identifiable Information you provide on servers that are protected by firewalls and other technological means against intrusion or unauthorized access. They are located in a physically secure facility, and only our designated employees with a need to know the information are given access. While no amount of security can give a perfect guarantee, you can have a high degree of confidence that the personally identifiable information you give us is protected from unauthorized access and use. We rely on you to select passwords that cannot be guessed easily and to safeguard those passwords from disclosure. Please contact us if you have any information regarding unauthorized use of the CTI Networks and Ga.net sites.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to, email, or call us as soon as possible, at the following address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Ga.net actively engages in blocking mail servers on the Internet that have been designated as willfully or unknowingly engaging in distributing unsolicited e-mails or messages containing viruses.
There are a range of offenses that can trigger ga.net mail servers to block other mail servers on the Internet. Most of these provisions are initiated automatically or at the request of our users. ga.net does not intentionally try to restrict other service providers from sending messages to our customers, but we will proactively take whatever measures are necessary to protect our network and our customers.
If you are operating a mail server that has been blocked by ga.net we can provide you documentation on why the block was initiated in a very timely manner. If you think that your server has been blocked in error or you would like to get information on what steps need to be taken to remove the block, please contact ga.net's network administration staff by phone or at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help.
Depending on the severity of the infraction that initiated the block by ga.net's mail servers, you may be able to automatically unblock the server yourself. If you receive a "bounce back" message when trying to e-mail a ga.net address, that message will have a link in it that shows documentation on the specific e-mail headers we received which triggered the block. You may be able to lift the block by scrolling to the bottom of this screen and clicking on the unblock link. If there is no such link you will need to contact ga.net's network administration staff by phone or at email@example.com to see if the block can be removed.
Ga.net's mail system engages in two types of blocking. The types are Null Routing and RBL List Blocking, which type is assigned is based on the type of abuse incurred. The following are some examples of the types of abuse which will trigger the different blocking methods and what the results will be.
This type of blocking is reserved for the worst situations of abuse incurred by ga.net. In order to be assigned this category of blocking a mail server will have had to engaged in a network damaging type of behavior against ga.net or our customers. In order to have a Null Route block removed, the offending server must be corrected so that it can not be exploited by others to be used in this manner again. If the server administrators themselves are willfully engaging in this behavior, the server will not be unblocked.

This type of blocking can result from abuse ranging from minor mail infractions to large unsolicited mail dumps to ga.net e-mail addresses. Based on information received by other providers and our own e-mail network, our mail servers will penalize mail servers that are known for sending spam messages. If the server is not sending a large volume of spam messages the block may only last a few hours and may be removable by the mail server users or administrators. The amount of time that the mail server remains blocked is directly proportional to the amount of spam sent. If your mail server is blocked in this fashion but you do not use it to send spam messages, it has likely been exploited by someone to send spam through it. This problem can occur when running a mail system that is an "open relay," which means that anyone from any Network can send mail through it. In many cases the mail server will need to be locked down so that it can not be exploited in this fashion before ga.net will lift the block on it.

As citizens in today's global society, each of us has certain responsibilities for abiding by government-established laws, rules and regulations. Computer technology is rapidly changing the way we communicate, conduct business, and manage our personal affairs. As such, applied technology raises many new issues concerning legislation on the World Wide Web.
As part of the Internet Community, one should be aware of, and attempt to follow, a protocol known as Net Etiquette (Netiquette), which is nothing more than "good manners" for the benefit of all. Two general rules to remember are 1) Don't waste bandwidth and 2) Don't send unwanted messagess.
This Acceptable Use Policy provides some guidelines for what constitutes a violation of our policies. More details are available below. In general, if an activity is illegal in society, then it is also illegal on the Internet. However, if you have a doubt about something, ask us BEFORE, not after, you attempt to implement an activity! Please remember that "ignorance" is not defensible in a court of law.

Ga.net's standard dial-up accounts are intended to be available on an as-needed or on-demand basis. Our customers dial into large modem banks and should treat these modem pools as a shared resource. Standard dial-up accounts are not dedicated dial-up connections and we expect our customers to use consideration in the number of hours they spend online with their standard dial-up service. All standard dial-up accounts are subject to an automatic 5 hour session timeout and 20 minute idle timeouts. In those cases where subscribers run a server, need a continuous connection, or have a number of computers connected to the Internet through a modem sharing router that is always on, we require they upgrade their account to one of our dedicated service plans if they expect their monthly usage to exceed 300 hours. We reserve the right to upgrade the accounts of any customers that we feel are using our standard dial-up connections as dedicated connections (for example, when the user is online for more than 300 hours with the account). These standard home and small business accounts are intended for use by the account holder on only one computer at a time. If two or more simultaneous modem sessions are required please inquire about our special dual-dial plans.
Ga.net does not actively engage in monitoring the content of customer email or Internet activities. Also, ga.net is not responsible for any inaccurate delivery of email messages to incorrect recipients due to equipment or software malfunction during the use of any ga.net mail services. We respect the privacy of users and recognize the right to freedom of speech. However, certain activities are not acceptable within our ethical and moral practices. For example, the promotion, sale and use of pornographic materials via our Internet service or web sites is not permitted. Please review our list of prohibited activities below for more examples.
Ga.net reserves the right to remove materials from our servers which, at ga.net's sole discretion, appear to violate any law or our policies.
Ga.net reserves the right to unilaterally terminate an account at any time, without providing a reason. In such cases, account holders are still responsible to pay any fees that are still owed to us. Any prepaid fees will be refunded to the account holder on a prorated basis. Any penalties for criminal action will be deducted from amounts owed before refunds are provided.

CTI Networks goal is to provide the best service possible at all times for all of our customers. Our policies are meant to protect those services from interruption. Use of CTI Networks services constitutes an agreement to abide by our terms. Customers are expected to periodically review our policies and are responsible for abiding by them, including any updates for the duration of the service relationship.
CTI Networks is responsible to provide best-effort Internet connections between the customer's equipment and our Internet backbone. CTI is not responsible for download speeds from points anywhere further on the World Wide Web, as these are affected by several factors beyond our control. "Best Effort" is defined as remaining at the speeds advertised within the service plan purchased by the client throughout most of the client's daily use. CTI Networks reserves the right to interrupt those speeds if necessary for equipment upgrades and network maintenance, and will do its best to inform the client of any such interruptions ahead of time.
It is also possible that service interruptions may occur because of an equipment failure or factors outside of CTI Networks control; if this happens CTI Networks will work to restore service as quickly as possible. The CTI Networks terms of service does not establish any SLA compensation schedules between CTI Networks and the customer. SLA agreements may exist based on the connection product provided by CTI Networks and will be negotiated separately on a per customer basis if necessary.
CTI Networks is also responsible for providing and maintaining a number of e-mail accounts for the customer as specified in the chosen service plan, as well as a certain amount of commercial or non-commercial web space as specified in the chosen service plan.
CTI Networks is not liable for: any damages or additional costs incurred during the setup process; any new installation costs or activation fees incurred by the client's moving location; any damages caused by viruses or other files downloaded from the Internet using CTI Networks services.
Terms of service responsibility will begin on the date of equipment installation/account activation. CTI Networks may change their prices at any time. If the prices are increased, CTI Networks must inform customers of the increase 30 days before the increase takes effect. If the change is a price decrease, CTI Networks need not notify customers but must reflect the price decrease on all bills and invoices as soon as the decrease is posted on the web page or in formal company materials.
Customers are responsible for upholding the non-transferability and account security of their service. The customer is entirely responsible for any actions, damages, or costs incurred via their account, regardless of whom is using that account.

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for unlawful use of a computer.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 3933 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
3933. Unlawful use of computer.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits [an] the offense [if he] of unlawful use of a computer if he, whether in person, electronically or through the intentional distribution of a computer virus:
(1) accesses, exceeds authorization to access, alters, damages or destroys any computer, computer system, computer network, computer software, computer program or data base or any part thereof, with the intent:
(i) to interrupt the normal functioning of an organization [or] ; or
(ii) to devise or execute any scheme or artifice to defraud [or] , deceive or control property or services by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations or promises;
(2) intentionally and without authorization accesses, alters, interferes with the operation of, damages or destroys any computer, computer system, computer network, computer software, computer program or computer data base or any part thereof; [or]
(3) intentionally or knowingly and without authorization gives or publishes a password, identifying code, personal identification number or other confidential information about a computer, computer system, computer network or data base[.] ; or
4) intentionally or knowingly engages in a scheme or artifice, including, but not limited to, a denial of service attack, upon any computer, computer system, computer network, computer software, computer program, computer server or database or any part thereof that is designed to block, impede or deny the access of information or initiation or completion of any sale or transaction by users of that computer, computer system, computer network, computer software, computer program, computer server or data base or any part thereof.
(b) Grading.--An offense under subsection (a)(1) is a felony of the third degree. An offense under subsection (a)(2) [or (3)] , (3) or (4) is a misdemeanor of the first degree.
(c) Definitions.--As used in this section the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this subsection:
"Access." To intercept, instruct, communicate with, store data in, retrieve data from or otherwise make use of any resources of a computer, computer system, computer network or data base.
"Computer." An electronic, magnetic, optical, hydraulic, organic or other high speed data processing device or system which performs logic, arithmetic or memory functions and includes all input, output, processing, storage, software or communication facilities which are connected or related to the device in a system or network.
"Computer network." The interconnection of two or more computers through the usage of satellite, microwave, line or other communication medium.
"Computer program." An ordered set of instructions or statements and related data that, when automatically executed in actual or modified form in a computer system, causes it to perform specified functions.
"Computer software." A set of computer programs, procedures and associated documentation concerned with the operation of a computer system.
"Computer system." A set of related, connected or unconnected computer equipment, devices and software.
"Computer virus." A computer program copied to or installed on a computer, computer network, computer program, computer software or computer system without the informed consent of the owner of the computer, computer network, computer program, computer software or computer system that may replicate itself and that causes unauthorized activities within or by the computer, computer network, computer program, computer software or computer system.
"Data base." A representation of information, knowledge, facts, concepts or instructions which are being prepared or processed or have been prepared or processed in a formalized manner and are intended for use in a computer, computer system or computer network, including, but not limited to, computer printouts, magnetic storage media, punched cards or data stored internally in the memory of the computer.
"Financial instrument." Includes, but is not limited to, any check, draft, warrant, money order, note, certificate of deposit, letter of credit, bill of exchange, credit or debit card, transaction authorization mechanism, marketable security or any computer system representation thereof.
"Property." Includes, but is not limited to, financial instruments, computer software and programs in either machine or human readable form, and anything of value, tangible or intangible.
"Services." Includes, but is not limited to, computer time, data processing and storage functions.
(d) Restitution.--Upon conviction under this section for the intentional distribution of a computer virus, the sentence shall include an order for the defendant to reimburse the victim for:
(1) the cost of repairing or, if necessary, replacing the affected computer, computer system, computer network, computer software, computer program or data base;
(2) lost profit for the period that the computer, computer system, computer network, computer software,computer program or data base is not usable; or
(3) the cost of replacing or restoring the data lost or damaged as a result of a violation of this section. Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.

You must be at least 18 years old to obtain an account. Your ga.net service includes a dial-in account, which is also your first e-mail address, up to 5 additional e-mail addresses and 10Mb of space on the user.ga.net web server for personal (not for profit) web pages. Additional e-mail addresses may be obtained for $24.00 per year. Commercial web pages and business domains are hosted on different higher performance servers that support a wide range of reporting statistics and scripting capabilities. You may access your account from any of the dial-in locations within CTI Networks, Inc. service areas. It is the subscriber's responsibility to determine which access numbers are local for them. CTI Networks, Inc. does not assume responsibility for long distance charges incurred by subscribers of the ga.net Internet Service.
We provide a 1 month free trial to all new standard Dial-up accounts that will allow you to test our service and decide if you wish to continue before committing for a longer period. The free trial is restricted to only new accounts and does not apply to resign-ups or accounts that were signed up under specific promotional offers.
All standard flat-rate dialup services include 300 hours of aggregate online time per billing cycle for all dialup sessions. Dialups that log over 300 hours in a single billing cycle will be put on hold for over-usage for the remainder of the same billing cycle, unless special arrangements are made with the CTI Networks, Inc. Billing Department. A "billing cycle" is defined as the 28 to 31 day time period between successive monthly anniversary dates from the original creation date of the account.
As a matter of maintaining proper Internet etiquette, CTI Networks, Inc. does not sell its subscriber list and does not allow subscribers to send bulk e-mail. Abuse of mail services may result in immediate account termination.

All billing statements will be sent through e-mail to your ga.net e-mail address unless requested otherwise. Statements can be sent to any e-mail address if there is another one that is more convenient for you. Our posted rates reflect a $1 discount for e-mail billing or if you prefer, mailed postal statements are available for an additional $1.00 in lieu of the discount. Statements and account information may be viewed online by going to www.ga.net/bmui/ .
We do not need a copy of your statement. Please write your account number on the payment in the memo field to ensure proper posting. Billing questions may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We offer a variety of service plans for our dial-up internet service. Please choose your plan carefully as we observe a no refund policy.
All charges are considered valid. If disputed they must be submitted in writing, email, or by phone within 30 days of the bill date of those charges. After 30 days no adjustments will be made.
If a payment is returned by the bank for insufficient funds, an invalid account or if customer places a stop payment order on a check, credit card, debit card or electronic funds payment the customers account will be charged at $50.00 returned payment fee. Accounts will be charged $50.00 per hour for research related to disputed charges. Also the account will be placed on hold until the outstanding payment and administrative fees are paid in full.
We accept cash, checks, electronic checks, money orders, Visa, or MasterCard credit and debit cards. There are two options for making credit card payments:
Credit once then Cash/Check. This option allows you to charge your payment just one time or gives you control of when the charge is processed. You may call us each time to charge your credit card or do it yourself from the Account Information page. You will not receive a confirmation that the payment processed because online payments are processed at the close of business for that day. You will receive a message of update successful when you make a change. When paying online you should receive an email that the payment will process after midnight.
Credit. Automatic debit or credit card and electronic payments are available by contacting the billing office. A completed and signed authorization form is required for automatic payments.
We can only accept partial credit card payments over the phone or in our office. If subscribers choose to use debit cards for payment, we assume no responsibility for any associated bank fees. This includes return check fees and fees incurred for overdrawing an account.
Enter the Account Information tool; enter your user name and password. This will give you a choice of three options:
"Accounts" is your account information. This is where you can change your address and phone number, make credit card payments on line, look to see if there is a past due balance, or find your account number. Please note you will not receive a confirmation when paying on-line. All online payments are run at close of business on the day they were entered. Hitting the submit button multiple times will not result in multiple charges.Note: After entering all of the fields in the Payment Information section under Accounts that relate to your credit card, you will still need to change the "Payment Method" setting at the top of this section to activate credit card billing.
"Statements" is where you can view any previous or current statements. You cannot view when a statement is due. You can see the date the statement was sent out. Please remember it would be due 17 days after it was billed.
"Users" is where you can change your password, view your user information, or check your hourly usage on-line.
Contact your bank to see if the missing check has been cashed. If it was cashed please provide us with the name on the check, the check number, the date it was cashed and if possible the bank name and account number from the back of the check. This will better allow us to search our records and see if it was us that cashed your check. If it has not been cashed it is up to you whether or not you want to stop payment on the check. Due to the volume of checks we receive, we cannot guarantee that we will not cash it if it appears in the future.
If a payment is not received by the due date, the billing system will automatically send out a notice the day after your payment is due. These notices are sent only through email 3 times every other day for 7 days. They will say "According to our records your account is past due for payment and will give you the amount that is past due.
To reopen an account we must post a payment to your account or apply a grace date. You can request reactivation by clicking on the reactivation button. The grace date will give you time to mail a check to our office or call to make a credit card payment. Past due accounts can receive only one 5-day grace date reactivation per suspension.
You may put your account on hold if your computer is down or you are going away on vacation. An account can be placed on hold for a minimum of one month. You must contact us in advance to request an account be put on hold. Credit will not be given retroactively. Accounts may remain on-hold for a period of up to 6 months.
One month after an account has been put on administrative hold a past due statement will be mailed. If payment is not made a final statement will be mailed 30 days later. If the balance is not paid by the date indicated on the statement it will be sent to our collection agency.
The account holder must call our office and speak with a billing representative prior to the expiration of your account. We are sorry for any inconvenience but we cannot take cancel requests from anyone other than the account holder. Also for security reasons we are unable to accept cancels via e-mail.
Our minimum billing period is one month. If you use your account for either dial-in or e-mail you will be billed for the full month. You will be responsible for the bill even if you are not currently using the service and we have not received your cancel request.
As a customer of ga.net it is your responsibility to provide us with current contact information. Such as legal name, current address, and current phone number. You are also responsible for keeping your account in a current status.
If you are staying within our coverage area and wish to continue service, we ask that you supply us with your new address and phone number. You will need to make sure you are still dialing a local phone number at your new location. You can find a local dial-up number by using our Access Number Lookup Database. You can verify that this number is local by checking in your phone book or with your local telephone company. We are not responsible for any long distance charges incurred by using the ga.net Internet service.
If you wish to restart service your previously closed account must be in good standing to be eligible for new service. You will not receive another free trial.
Ga.net subscribers may earn free Internet service under our "Member Get Member" referral program. Refer a new customer to us for Internet service; after the customer completes their free trial and has made their first payment, you will receive a $17 credit on your account!
Ga.net offers Gift Certificates. They are available in different denominations, please contact us when requesting a Gift Certificate please specify if you want a regular Gift Certificate or a Holiday Gift Certificate.
By establishing an account and/or using our service you are accepting all policies. ga.net reserves the right without prior notice to cancel your service at any time for violation of our administrative or billing policies.
Ga.net reserves the right to change its terms and conditions, and rates of service at any time. The continued use of our service constitutes your agreement to those terms and conditions that are in use at the time you use the service. These changes will be posted on our home page, sent by email notification or listed on your statement.
GA.NET'S HIGHSPEED DSL CUSTOMER PAYMENT INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS
By establishing an account and using our service you are accepting all policies, agreements and billing conditions. ga.net reserves the right without prior notice to cancel your service at any time for violation of terms of service policies, violation of acceptable use policies or violation of state criminal code with regard to computers.
The following qualifications must be met by a potential DSL customer:
Customers ording DSL service are required to prepay the first month of DSL service and equipment costs. PA Residents add 6% Sales Tax. The DSL line will not be ordered and equipment will not be shipped until we have received this payment.
The DSL service will usually be ready 3-14 business days after the line is ordered. Billing for the DSL line will begin on the day after the line is ready even if the customer is not ready to use the service.
DSL customers have the option to pay by check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard credit or debit card. Accounts on automatic credit/debit card payment will be charged on the day that your statement is generated. If a subscriber chooses to use a debit card for payment, ga.net assumes no responsibility for bank fees associated with this transaction or return check fees incurred from overdrawing an account.
The DSL cost varies depending on the speed of DSL you request. The bill is split into 3 parts: the internet fee, the DSL line fee, and the appropriate telephone company taxes on the DSL line. Pricing is available on our website's HighSpeed DSL page.
Because DSL is only installed on a phone line with dial tone, customers must keep their telephone service active and in good standing with their local phone company. DSL customers will continue to receive and be expected to pay the bill for DSL service until submitting a cancel request.
Customers are expected to be familiar with ga.net's Acceptable Use Policy, Broadband Terms of Service, and Pennsylvania's Unlawful Use of Computer Law. A customer found to be in violation of any of these policies will be in violation of the terms of their Customer Responsibilities. If a customer is found to be in violation of any Billing Procedures, Billing Policies, or Customer Responsibilities, their account may be suspended or terminated. In a suspended or terminated state, all services associated with an account (e-mail, Internet connectivity, web hosting, etc.) are suspended or terminated. ga.net may, at any time, terminate an account without notice for reasons included within, but not limited to, what have been outlined in the Billing Procedures, Billing Policies, or Customer Responsibilities. Charges to the account will be considered valid up to and including the date of termination.
Ga.net will not be held responsible for the actions of 3rd party vendors or the failure of 3rd party equipment.
Ga.net reserves the right to change its terms and conditions, and rates of service at any time. The continued use of our service constitutes your agreement to those terms and conditions that are in use at the time you use the service. These changes will be posted on our home page, under our policies section and on our HighSpeed DSL page. If you are dissatisfied with the services or any related terms, conditions, rules, policies, guidelines, or practices, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the services and to terminate your account.
DSL service includes a backup dial-in account for 20 hours of dial-in access per month. The dial-in account is a metered service. Every hour used over the 20 hours will be billed at $0.50 per hour. Your subscription includes 5 free e-mail addresses and up to 10-25 megabytes of space (depends upon plan) on the user web server for personal (not for profit) home pages. Additional e-mail addresses may be obtained for $24.00 per year.

A DSL Router is required for use of our service. We provide you with the necessary equipment at a cost of $40.00 with shipping. PA Residents will also need to add 6% sales tax. The DSL Router has wireless capability and also ports for up to four wired connections. The equipment carries a 90 day warranty. After 90 days you will need to purchase new equipment.
